At our favorite local French brasserie, Le Saint Amour

This is where we go to get our Paris fix. 
We visit so often that Nanou who works the bar has become une chere amie.
Un peu de champagne,
et une chanteuse,
c’etait un soir parfait.

  1. I definitely have to try this restaurant, it looks charming. And after eating at Bouchon last week and not being impressed, I’d like to try some hopefully more authentic French cuisine.

  2. That looks lovely! The f&ecirc:te nationale went almost unobserved here, unless you consider that I had a pedi, and chose a colour from OPI’s French Collection. . .

  3. You had a sufficiently festive celebration to cover my lack of one here in Paris. I listened to strains of rock-n-roll in franglaise wafting through my windows from the bal at the Mairie on the 13th. And last light when it sounded like my neighborhood was being shelled, I looked out the window toward the west to see glimpses of the fireworks. Sending gros bisous to you and Monsieur Pseu. Karen

  4. This looks absolutely delightful! We celebrated with 3 French cheeses, escargot and sparkling wine at home. And I wore one of my grandmother’s silk scarves to coffee outside.

  5. I love Saint Amour. Each time I am in LA for business, I always stay at the Culver Hotel because I like the neighborhood around it. And Saint Amour is just down the street.

  7. That’s run by the same couple who used to have the little bistro downtown off Broadway, right? I’ll have to try the new(er) one, since it’s so close.
