Colorful Winter Styles to Brighten Your Outfits

Whether you go all-in for “Dopamine dressing” or prefer just a colorful accent here or there, there’s no denying that wearing color can be a mood booster. With several weeks of winter still ahead, I thought I’d share some favorite colorful styles to perk up your winter outfits. Best of all, they’re on sale now!

Colorful winter outfits for women over 50. Cashmere sweaters, alpaca sweaters, cashmere-silk scarves.

Middle: SWEATER | JEANS | SNEAKERS
Right: HAT | SCARF (c/o) | SWEATER (SIMILAR) | PANTS (SIMILAR)

Scarves and sweaters are two of the easiest ways to add some color to winter outfits. These limited edition Liberty print scarves from Black shown above are included in their huge winter sale, (along with our favorite leopard prints in brown, navy, and black). These cashmere-silk blend scarves are perfect for travel and transitional season comfort.

The airy cable knit sweater in “Turmeric” from Cuyana is also now marked down, and still available in most sizes. (I’m wearing a Small.) This color is a good one for Autumns and some Springs; it’s also available in black and Sky Blue (good for you Summers).

  1. I’ve been wearing a lot of the cool dark green like the “June Bug Green” in that contrast stitch sweater you showed. Packed several pieces for a warmer weather trip with lighter denim and dove gray and loved the result. I also love it with black, more unexpected than with navy. (Dark winter.)

  2. I have to wear black or black & white for my job. Tomato red is my go-to for mood elevation. Bright greens are great too.

  3. I’m tempted to buy the Land’s End lavender cardigan to wear with my grey pallet . Could you suggest a scarf that would go with it ? From Black . The black Leopard print is in my basket . I have black blazers that I still like to wear but am starting to go more toward summer colors .
Love it when you highlight pieces for summers .

      1. I’ve just purchased the scarf you suggested . Thank-you so much ! I will also purchase the lavender cashmere cardigan .

  4. January is a ‘whatever keeps me warmest’ month, but February has long evolved into a purple month (instead of red). I break out my Kate Spade ‘Frozen Lilac’ bag and go from there.

That Lavendar Heather mentioned about from Lands End is tempting.
