Dans le jardin
Sage bloom, first of many I hope. |
I’d really hoped to have some lovely sunny garden shots to show off today, but the weather wasn’t cooperating.
Not-so-Enchanted Mushroom Forest…these look like the Undead version of Disney’s dancing shrooms. |
Roses are all beginning to bloom despite a sudden aphid infestation. I’ve been googling some home made aphid sprays, but they all seem rather involved. I’ll pick up some live ladybugs this week, and hope they do the trick. Anyone have a no-fail, environmentally friendly aphid buster?
One of the things I adore most about our street are these lovely mature elms. This time of year especially, they evoke a scene right out of Fragonard. One can almost hear a lute being strummed…

I had to laugh at the thought of those undead mushrooms prancing around to the Nutcracker!
Beautiful photos! Happy Easter and spring…
Thank you for sharing beauty, my friend.

Aphids are the devil. I have tried soap spray with cayenne pepper in the past, and I think it works, but not for long, and if it a heavy infestation, I would probablly go for the ladybugs if you want to keep things organic.
