fall re-boot

Naturalizer 4

J.Crew Jacket, Naturalizer Janelle boots (also available in Wide shaft)

The lovely people at Naturalizer asked if I’d like to give these Janelle knee boots a try, and if I’d be interested in taking part in their styling contest, representing the 50+ demographic. It sounded like a fun challenge, so here’s my entry. I wanted to create an outfit that was simple yet modern, and could go from casual office to weekend. Head over to the Naturalizer Facebook page and, if you’re so inclined, vote for me. The winner of the contest will receive two additional pairs of Naturalizer shoes (the boots were provided by Naturalizer) which I’d be delighted to offer as a giveaway. If I win, you win. 🙂

Stella and Dot, Aurelie Biderman bracelets, Chanel vintage flap bag

Nothing says “fall” like boots and jackets. I’m also wearing the NYDJ ‘Ami’ skinny jeans in ‘Dakota’ wash. I find myself reaching for these frequently as they are so darn versatile. The bag is my old faithful vintage Chanel, and the bracelets are from Stella and Dot (here and similar) and aurelie bidermann.

Naturalizer Janelle knee boots

The elastic goring on the back of the boots is subtle, but provides a nice snug fit with a little give. I like the shaping at the top of the shaft, and the buckles add a nice touch.

What’s your favorite way to style a pair of knee boots?

Well styled, Une Femme. Great boots, and your vintage Chanel gives everything a luxurious touch. xo

Think I was able to get my vote in under the wire! My daughter (the blogger) suggested your blog to me today because I am always trying to be in balance between dressing “too young or “too matronly”! I share your taste and your labels – but have to admit most of mine come from a fabulous consignment store in Reno called “Labels” and full of Eileen Fisher, lol! As an RN most of my life fashion and the ability to afford it has always been a challenge!

Love the look of this boot, streamline, yet with interest in buckle and stitching. Great outfit, would definitely wear this and feel great wearing the boots with your choice of outfit.

Love the boot with coloring of upper and sole the same. Sleek, but buckle gives nice interest. Your choice of styling with this boot is great. Awesome look.

Very youthful and cute! The bracelets and earrings give it added pow! My favorite way to wear boots is with a rustic skirt and other accessories that have a slight “cavalry” effect– like a burnished leather belt, chain link bracelet, etc.

Fabulous outfit, just right for fall. . Here’s hoping riding boots never go out of style – they’re changed my wardrobe completely! Love your glasses, did I miss the brand?

Those boots are lovely, and suit you so well, and we know that Naturalizers are comfortable.

Do you want them for travel north, even to San Francicso? I don’t see what use they’d be in southern California.
