Foulard de la semaine

C’est un peu “da-dame” peut-être, but I do like how this scarf brings together the navy top and avocado sweater (yes, avocado…I’m one of those few oddballs who can wear it).

  1. I really like that colour… and it is surprisingly versatile–Pucci (or at least the now departed Matthew Williamson) has been teaming it up with navy, raspberry, burgundy-brown, teal, to great effect.
    Looks great on you!

  2. Sal – thanks, and yes, that’s one of the best things about scarves!

    Belle – Fashion Diplomats…love it!

    LPC – thank you. It’s a Talbot’s piece.

Katriona – Pucci does some great (and unexpected) color combos that somehow seem to work. I’ve found this to be a very versatile color. I love it with turquoise too.

  3. Miss Janey – thanks so much!

Duchesse – probably not a talent so much as genetic inheritance and dumb luck, but thank you!
    😉

    Marieanne – thank you.

materfamilias – thanks for your reassurance. I think wearing silk scarves off-center helps to overcome an otherwise stodgy effect.

metscan – thank you! I tend to think of them as fabric necklaces.

  4. Deb – thanks so much! I actually wore this ensemble to work, so it did “go public.”

enc – thank you. It would be fun to take a poll of what colors are supposed to be “unwearable” that look good some of us…hmm, that gives me an idea.
