What caught my eye this week: fresh finds for your summer wardrobe
It’s been a busy week here with family visiting from out of town, and a full schedule. And July 4th is just around the corner! Today I’m sharing a few summer wardrobe finds that would be perfect to wear for the holiday, or any casual summer event.
I tend to steer clear of holiday-themed clothing these days. But red, white, and blue is a classic combo that doesn’t have to be specific to July 4th (or 14th!). If you want to avoid the “dressed like a flag” effect, add some tan, brown, olive, or khaki to the mix with shoes and bags.
Fresh finds for your summer wardrobe
Sometimes the most basic pieces can be the hardest to find. Like a good quality tee, with a v-neck AND set-in, elbow sleeves. This style also has a nice, longer length for those who prefer. It’s available in several colors, sizes 00(0/2) to 4(20/22).
Perfect for beach or BBQ, these linen pants in a railroad stripe are available in Regular size XS-4X, as well as Petite and Tall sizes. Other colors available too.
I have this cotton cardigan in solid red and absolutely love it, but this striped version is calling my name too…and there are more striped and solid color options available, sizes XX-Small to 3X.

I love the mix of Asian-inspired florals and geometric prints here. Sizes XS-XL.
It took about a nanosecond for me to add these to my shopping cart! They’re a fun, slightly orangey red. (Geranium, in the Spring & Autumn palettes.)
How cute is the crab print on this linen shirt? I’d say, “very!” Sizes XXS-XL. (It’s generously cut, and the buttons are well-placed. I’ve tried this shirt in a different color, and found the Small to be plenty roomy.)
And finally, I love this witty beach tote, which also comes with a zippered pouch for your smaller items. (The azul blue striped one is also nice…)

Yes! The beach bag provided my giggle of the day. Canadian here. I’ll be wearing red and white to attend the annual Canada Day parade our small town does so well.
