Beauty Giveaway: Skincare For Firming & Radiance

As my way of saying Thank You to all of you who read, share, and comment here, I’ve arranged some fun giveaways over the next couple of weeks. And here’s the first of my pre-holiday giveaways: a Skin Firming & Radiance Beauty Box, containing three of the products shown above.

My friend Brian is a talented hair and makeup artist. He’s done lots of celebrity and red carpet work, and teaches his techniques in his Makeover Workshop classes. He’s also developed a skincare and beauty line, recently re-branded as Brian + MW. We got together last week to create a video to demonstrate some of the products he’s kindly offered for me to share with you.

Brian recently gave me some samples of the Super Radiance Exfoliating Freshener and Re-Recreation Skin Firming Serum to try. I’ve been using both for a few weeks, and will be making them a part of my regular regimen.

Cruelty-Free, Paraben-Free Skincare Products

All of the products listed are cruelty-free and paraben-free.

The Exfoliating Freshener is a lightly acidic toner that clarifies the skin, and also allows other products to absorb more thoroughly. (After applying, I also rub into my hands and have noticed an improvement in texture there too!) You may notice a slight tingling, but it’s very gentle and non-irritating.

I apply the firming serum immediately afterward, while my face is still damp from the toner. I do notice a slight tightening sensation upon application, and according to Brian the effects are cumulative over time. The serum contains peptides, to stimulate production of collagen and improve elasticity.

I’ve been using the Firming Neck & Throat Creme for a couple of years now, and love it. My neck will never be smooth (I had creases even at a very young age) but this product does firm the skin and reduces the puckery appearance. I’ve tried a lot of neck firming products, but this was the first one that really made a noticeable difference for me.

The Super All-Day Moisture Creme is a really nice daily moisturizer that feels rich but not greasy. What I like is that it absorbs well and lasts, but doesn’t leave a tacky feeling on the skin.

We finished up with the Tinted Primer (Light is my shade), another of my Brian + MW faves. You can use this alone or underneath foundation. I wear this on its own for sheer coverage that provides extra SPF. Never looks cakey.

    1. I make a lot of my own skincare products using essential oils and various carrier oils. I have tried to eliminate as much toxic substances in my home and personal care products as possible. As always, enjoy your posts. Thank you!

  1. My neck also showed signs of aging at a young age. It runs in the family! The best part of winter is that I get to wear a lot of turtlenecks. I would love to try the firming neck and throat cream. Thanks for offering this great give-away!

  2. I’ve been working on exfoliating and moisturizing. Along the way, I’ve found some really nice products from caudalie, Sisley and beauty counter

  3. My neck appears far more wrinkled than my face. Would love to restore some tautness to my neck and a glow to my face.

  4. This is just what I need. I am always wrapping a scarf around my neck to hide the wrinkly, sagging, turkey neck look. Would love to try these products.

  5. I am looking for skin care that helps keep my skin healthy while looking pretty. I also want it cruelty free. I haven’t always appreciated the difference in makeup products but I am trying to learn now so that my skin gets all the help it can, lol.

  6. my aim is to minimize any wrinkles I have I don’t have many for my age, I am lucky. I stayed out of the sun and did not smoke. I don’t have a big problem with dryness since I live in a warm climate.

    1. Even though I’m in the Pacific North”wet”, I still find it drying inside with the heating systems. I am pretty good with moisturizer, I use elta MD UV Facial. But I must admit to being quite lazy with my skin care. For morning cleansing, I use basic witch hazel several times a week, my Clarisonic once or twice, and some hyaluronic acid occasionally (when I can leave it on for 10 minutes as recommended ). And (gasp), I sometimes go to bed without washing my face!
I would love to try some new products and if your giveaway is open to Canada, please enter me in the draw.
      Thank you so much
      Suz from Vancouver

  11. I like Nutriganics but they must have gone out of business.
My priority is moisturizer. I try to take one day a week to cleanse my face,

    with lime juice added.

  22. I learned from a dermatologist many years ago that the most important product for my face is a moisturizer that has at least a 30 SPF. I’m now also using a serum with vitamin C as a first step.

  23. I’m always searching for good facial products. Serum and neck creams top my list. These look interesting. Thanks for the review!

  24. My neck sagging and wrinkles is my priority. Currently using Sub D by Perricone and dont feel its doing anything whatsoever. 31. Trying to keep the wrinkles from increasing and getting deeper are my main concerns. I enjoy reading your blog.

  32. One of my biggest concerns is trying to prevent wrinkles & losing elasticity in my face & neck.Living in Southern California it is also always a battle to quench my sometimes parched skin.It has been especially challenging lately to feel adequately moisturized with our dry weather.
Excited about the possibility to find solutions for my thirsty skin.

  33. I tried to leave a comment in the beauty giveaway widget but couldn’t so I’m leaving my comment here in hopes that I will win!!
My number one priority is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. I’m 77 and have been doing this faithfully since I was in high school. Together with my parents’ good genes, my complexion is rather wrinkle-free. If only I had stayed out of the sun!! Sigh.

  34. My top skin care priorities are firming and evening out skin tone. And since it’s winter with its dry cold, moisturizing takes centre stage.

  35. Top Priorities are undereye darkness, staying hydrated, and preventing sun damage. Thank you for the opportunity!

  36. The skin care issues that I’m most interested in are exfoliation, brightening and skin firming. I would love to have these products!

  37. Truly, I’ve just been looking at my neck and wondering what to use, so this is very timely! I am concerned about products that increase moisture and brightness. I also want them to work well under makeup. Sunscreen is another top concern and one that (again) works well under makeup. Thanks for doing this!!!

  38. The skin on my neck ages me so much more than my face. And I had to give up turtlenecks years ago due to that turkey wattle!

  39. I have dry skin so I need a good moisturizer. I always try new products because I haven’t found one that really meets my needs. Thanks for the giveaway!

  40. Moisturizing is my main priority. I never fail to apply it day and night. My grandmother lived to be 91 and always looked 20 years younger. She swore it was due to daily moisturizing!

  41. Hi Susan…. I sincerely thank you for all the thorough work you do to provide us with Parisian excursions, style and skin care experiences. Your dedication to educating us to improve our lives is seemingly genuine. For facial masks, I’ve begun using the following product and am really happy with the results. Have a blessed day!

  42. My skin does not like sun screen ingredients. My biggest problem is keeping my skin protected from the sun without feeling the prickle, burning sensation and watery eyes of sunscreen. After that it’s keeping it moisturized all day.

  43. Probably my greatest skincare concern is drying, aging skin. Can you say “turkey neck?” LOL! Thank you for this opportunity!

  44. Sunscreen is my primary item that I could not do without, and it contains at least 7%, if not more, of zinc oxide. On both my face and hands and neck.

  45. Thank you for this generous giveaway! My skin care concerns at 65 are dryness and firming, along with smoother skin texture.

  46. OMG Susan I signed upo for the giveaway and now I am receiving TONS of emails from your site–every comment that people make. 47. Since I often do so well following your suggestions, I can imagine I would love these skin products. My neck has had the horizontal crease for as long as I can remember, but I’d love to tighten up the crepey looking skin! Thanks so much for this lovely giveaway.

  48. Love the sound of the neck cream, so many products out there with great claims but I haven’t found a really effective one yet. Thanks!

  49. My skin priorities during the winter are exfoliating the dry skin and keeping it moisturized all day! Thanks for the giveaway drawing!

  52. After finishing treatment for thyroid cancer my skin is a bit in need of some TLC. I would love to firm and brighten my face and neck. You have beautiful glowing skin. Thank you for your blog.

  53. Hi. As an ardent follower, I’m comfortable in trusting your judgement about this product line. This past year, my skin has changed considerably. I am looking for help and new products! Many thanks, Roseanne
P.S. our North Atlantic weather plays havoc with my skin.

  54. What a great giveaway ! Thanks for sharing ! My biggest issue at 64 is that I am starting to get puffiness/bags under my eyes. I am trying all kinds of eye cream…hoping to head off any big bags.

  55. I would love to “soften” the marionette lines next to my mouth and the “11” in the forehead…that’s just a start…what about those dark circles that never seem to cover well! And then what about……and on/on/on.

  56. Thank you for the offer, hydration is always important for me when it comes to skin care. I find as I’ve aged my skin has become drier.

  57. Love when you feature Brian’s products & solutions! Top skin care needs these days: anti-aging everything, changing skin around eyes, & ‘winter lips!’ Thanks for this post!

  58. As someone who has always believed in keeping it simple, I’ve recently been looking to expand my skin care routine to include products that cleanse, plump, smooth, and even out my complexion.

  59. I’d love to try some new skincare products. I’ve been using the same cleanser, day lotion, and night cream for several years and I find that my skin just doesn’t have the same radiance that it once did. It looks a little dull and tired.

  60. Thank you for the opportunity to win skincare products! Moisturizing, SPF protection & skin firming are my major concerns in skin care. I would love to try these products.

  61. My biggest challenge is sunscreen. I have had few skin cancers and wear it each day. The gloppy summer stuff I use in summer but now so many products have it built in. I tried your suggestion a while ago of CC+. It’s been great with a high spf with works with rosacea. I’m always up to try your suggestions. Love your blog

  62. I’ve always had a saggy type neck.. I’ve tried castor oil, tighteners, and all sorts of creams. Right now I use a castor oil, coconut oil blend

  63. I’ve been intrigued by Makeover Workshops products for awhile. They’re not sold in my area. I’d love to give them a try! I have sensitive skin, lots of allergies. Finding good products I can use is challenging.
