How does my garden grow?

Here’s a shot of the herb/tomato garden as it looked when I planted back in the beginning of June:

And here’s how it’s looking 60 days later:
Even with the preponderance of cool and cloudy weather we’ve had this summer, my cherry tomato plant seems quite happy and is preparing some nice gifts:
Off to give my green babies a little more food and pinch some basil for omelettes!

  1. I have your garden’s veritable TWIN in my front yard:). How long does it take for tomatoes to ripen, anyway? Don’t you just love pinching the herbs and smelling them on your hands?

  2. Our tomatoes are long gone…I was going to suggest something to do with cherry tomatoes, but no one needs any help with them.

    Bon appetit!

  3. Ooh, Pseu, all you’ll need for perfection is some of those lovely little mozzarella “pearls” that are about the size of cherry tomatoes, and you’ll have the makings of a delightful caprese salad. You lucky girl!

My mom picked fresh mint and parsley from her salad garden today so that I could make Israeli salad, and said, “There’s nothing better than picking your dinner!” How true…

  4. It is magical, when you start from practically nothing and end up into something, like you are now showing us!
