Lancôme Miracle Cushion Foundation

something new in beauty

Have you seen or tried this new foundation option from Lancôme? Apparently “cushion compact” foundations are all the rage in Korea and Japan, and this is the first version I’ve seen available here.

I tried this yesterday, and found that:

  • it goes on sheer but is build-able
  • it feels very soothing and moisturizing and gives a luminous, dewy finish.
  • it evens out skin tone and minimizes redness
  • I didn’t find that it settled in pores or lines at all.

This is a nice portable option you can carry with you for touch-ups, and one that I think would travel well. I wish it had some SPF. I’ve read reviews that indicate you don’t get a lot of product, but you can purchase refills rather than the whole compact each time. Here’s Lisa Eldridge doing her thing:

Looks lovely! I’m still using the Shiesedo tinted moisturizer – spf 43 – that you recommended a while back. Comes in a small tube, TSA appropriate and the application is super easy – finger, brush, whatever…you introduce me to the best stuff! Thanks for all you do!!

It does look lovely and I do like how portable it is. I just might give this a try at some point. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Could be a breeding ground for bacteria. And no SPF. No thanks.

Just found one from Amorepacific US, ‘LaNeige’; looks so similar I thought your product was it when I saw your pic. SPF is 50 however. Has washable applicator included, so no touching of sponge. All the same qualities you mention. Found it at, of all places, Target!

I got a sample for Amorepacific, in the lightest pink tone shade they have.
I loved the texture and the wear, but the shade was way too dark. 🙁

I’m wondering if the TSA would classify this as a liquid? They’re so over the map on makeup.

I’ve never has TSA question my cream foundation compacts. Or even tubes of mascara, when I’ve forgotten to move to my liquids bag. Since there’s little about the packaging that suggests it holds liquids, I’d be very surprised to see it questioned.

Thanks Susan for bringing this type of product to our attention. I love the “so far, doesn’t settle into creases or lines” haha… I do have a few of them. Based on the comment from Gigi, I’ll make my way to Target this weekend.

Kande, I know…isn’t that half the battle with makeup these days? 😀

i’ve been using the amore pacific version of this for several years and love it – especially that it has spf already in it. it comes with a refill so it lasts quite a long time. well worth the price….

Agree with Grechen! Both my daughter and I have been using the Amore Pacific version. It does have spf and is wonderful. I know Nordstrom and Sephora both carry it.
