Loot Shoot

Eileen Fisher linen cardigan, skinny jeans, Donald J. Pliner booties, Nordstrom anniversary sale

I came home last night to find a delivery from Nordstrom. 😀 A couple of things I’d ordered from the Anniversary sale had arrived. I quickly styled the items, and dashed out into some direct and unflattering light to try and capture the wonderful metallic sheen in both.

This is the Eileen Fisher Sparkle Linen Cardigan. It’s light and a little sheer, and true to its name, brings the sparkle. The cut is very A-line, not voluminous but more of a swing cut.

Twirl? Ya gotta.

The booties are from Donald J. Pliner. In my experience this brand can run a bit narrow, but this particular style is mighty comfortable and looks fabulous.

These are 11/10. Keepers, definitely.

Just a reminder, items from Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale are available now to Nordstrom card-holders, and will be available universally on Friday.  I’ll repost my picks from the sale (and a few additional) on Friday.

This outfit hits my own personal Power Dressing zone. You can read more of my thoughts about power dressing today over at Already Pretty, here.

  1. Damn girl! All this time I thought you were off-line because I have your old link on my blogs. I hit it out of curiosity today and voila! you’ve been back a while. I like the look of the new blog. This is now WordPress…I guess I’ll receive those f/u emails asking for confirmation

  2. Just tried to leave a message about your new blog and why I haven’t seen it til now…did not know you changed urls.

Anyhoo, the blog page went into brain lock buffering my comment. So, I guess it won’t show.

    Here I go again!

  3. I have two EF linen cardigans from about 3 years ago, one in beige and one in sapphire. The beige one particularly has been so great; it goes with nearly everything & if you wad it up in your carryon tote, it come out unwrinkled. I’ve been looking for a white one in the same fabric, but they didn’t make that style this year. Ordered a similar linen one from J. Jill in white; i’m sure it won’t be as nice but it was 1/3 the price!

I ordered an EF tee and ponte knit slim pants from the Nordstrom sale, they should be delivered tomorrow. I also splurged on the Aquitalia quilted-detail moto boots. Hoping they fit perfectly & are comfy, otherwise I can’t justify the expense!

  4. First, to Jill Ann above, hey! I am a Jill Ann! We should meet! Second, I did have one sale find but the package was actually stolen from my stoop after UPS delivered it, can you believe that? Oh don’t I just love Brooklyn this week. Third, I couldn’t resist a J. Crew necklace I found at the store. I was very inspired by the necklace you showed a few posts ago and I linked to it in my post today. J. Crew should’ve given you a commission, you definitely inspired me to have a look at their latest jewels! XO, Jill

    1. Hi, Other Jill Ann! Not sure why I started commenting with both my names, but it’s good since you & I won’t be confused! If you are in Brooklyn, it may be a while until we meet up, since I’m in Texas (originally from Michigan). But good to “virtually” meet another Jill Ann.

  5. What a gorgeous find! The cardigan is stunning and so are the boots! The sparkle certainly takes it to another level, and allows a little more variety in styling it! Nice outfit, just got a sparkly top myself and taking inspiration from you!

  6. I love the sweater and booties. I’ve never even given a second look at this style sweater because I didn’t think it would look good…I was wrong. You look great…it’s very flattering.

  7. And I’m trying to be so good this year and stay away from the sale but you look so good in your new items, especially those booties. Let’s see how long I can do this, right?

  8. Great outfit. Love the ankle boots. I’ve been looking for white jeans and bought two pair from the Levi store. They were on sale $20 each. Regular price $60. I only buy items on sale.

  9. Oh, yes! You did so good … especially with the great buys as well as the photo! Pretty, subtle, sparkly in a very understated way. Lucky you!
