Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – All Skate!
As I’ve finally had a chance to do some “boots on the ground” perusal, and now that the sale items are available to all, I’ve added a few more to my pick list below. The Nic + Zoe jacket above is really more a structured sweater than a jacket, but it’s very nicely styled and not bulky at all. Those Donald J. Pliner metallic booties are my favorites so far: comfortable and look great. I’ll wear them with jeans, trousers and skirts. If I were in the market for a workday bag, I’d be all over this Vince Camuto colorblock satchel. It’s a great looking bag, seems to be well made, and at the anniversary sale price is a great value.

Nice picks and nice prices! I’m pondering the sparkle sweater and wishing that I liked ankle boots. They seem to cut the leg off on everyone, unless worn with pants that cover the tops. They make everything look stylish, but I can’t forget that fashion is architecture and these proportions don’t work, to my eye, alas.
I am gasping at the prices of the clothes! So affordable!

I like ALL your picks but I am in mourning for the almost complete lack of colour in fall winter lines after a spring/summer bursting with colours and patterns and madness. I need a moment…
Melanie, thanks! I think there’s actually a lot more color available than I’ve shown here. I tend to gravitate toward neutrals which I’m sure has influenced my choices.

Just so you are aware, the link with the tulip colored top is not working. I did go to the Nordstrom site and bought a few basic EF things—ponte pants in black and charcoal and several tops. I’m trying one of the silk ones you like as well as a couple of the viscose jersey that I have preferred. If my purchases don’t work out, I can return them at the Nordstrom store two miles from my house. Thank you for making us aware of the sale. I would have bought through your link if I could.
