Unfortunately, I do not fit the little black dress, or I would get it…I am just writing to recommend two books for your trip (I don’t know if you do this, but I always bring one book along for the plane) that are great companion pieces to Paris. Both are by Nancy Mitford, a great English satirist who spent much of her life in post WWII Paris( for a while as the wife of the English ambassador): The Blessing (a short novel) and Madame de Pompadour ( a biography). She is very entertaining and wickedly funny, without being too distracting, and really knew her Parisians. Check her out on Amazon.Hope you don’t mind my off-the-topic note— I’m just getting vicariously excited about your voyage!!
