As soon as this came across my reader I fell into a swoon. My Aunt had this exact luggage bought at Joseph Horne Co. in Pittsburgh, Pa. Unfortunately, my cousin tossed it. I still look for it in secondary markets. Beautiful, really heavy, but beautiful.
I always like seeing the ad above b/c I have that set of luggage, bought more than 20 years ago at a yard sale in Albion Michigan! I’m still trying to figure out what to do with it. Love it.
Smart women also fly with a hunky guy to carry their bags for them, obviously…..
Smiling at what sisty wrote : > and I do adore that vintage art and gorgeous luggage!
In the good old times airline staff took good care of your luggage…
Mr C and I live in different countries and travel a lot. Nowadays (especially with the high costs for extra weight), a robust yet lightweight suitcase preferably in an easy recognizable colour is essential. And with all the damages and scratches caused during the journey, I’d never spend a lot of money on a suitcase.
Now heading over to your guestpost.

My Luggage and I ALWAYS fly separately, just in case something happens and one of us get’s lost!!
Ha! I have one of those vintage faux croc cases – they weigh a TON when empty.

I am in LURVE with that luggage in the Photo. And actually, the camel coat and skirt too. Looks like if Michael Kors had been designing adverts during this time this would have been his!
