Pick of the week: dressy-ish flat sandals
These braided strap sandals hit the Footwear Trifecta: comfortable, stylish, and versatile.
And they’re priced well under $100! These flat slide sandals are easy to walk in (no “thwap!”) and available in a bunch of colors and finishes. I think they zhush up a casual outfit, and would work with dressy-casual attire. (Like a maxi dress, maybe? 😉)
Above, I’m wearing with stripe linen pants. I’m usually a size 7 in sandals, but 7.5 was the right size in these. (I like them so much I ordered a second pair in ivory!)

The sandals look fab. I am an unashamed Monarchist, so, yes, I have been glued to the tellie, watching Trooping of The Colour and the Remembrance Service at St Paul’s, with the Palace concert next. I think the Duchess of Cambridge’s outfits have been the stand out so far – apart from the Queen of course.

Hi Judy, everyone’s feet and fit preferences are so individual, so it’s a hard question for me to answer. My feet are medium-width and the straps fit snugly.
LOVE the puffy straps that are popular now and the square toe plus the double strap will keep them on your feet! The Queen’s Jubilee is phenomenal plus what a boon for the economy in UK after COVID!
Shoes in summer are a nightmare for me as I get blisters from any kind of shoe unless it is fabric.
The search goes on.

Good for you, Susan! I think you have impeccable taste and style and this has convinced me not to paint my toenails tonight before I go out with a girlfriend. I feel like whatever polish I wear it ends up staining my nails horribly. If our nails are healthy at this age, I say show them off!
I love, love the puffy braided sandal look AND the puffy bag look. I got a low block heel version in Nude from Steve Madden and just bought a black pair from Clarks. The braided straps are so soft and comfy. These are favorites! I love the multi-colored ones you found. I am following the Jubilee events. Queen Elizabeth is an amazing woman!
Cute shoes. Have you tried a neutral sheer polish on your toes? It gives a
nicer look than just unpolished IMO .Some of the new neutrals are a great
clean look and look more “polished” than undone bare nails. You have
such outstanding shoes they stand out.
