Save Now, Wear Later
While many of the sales on at the moment feature Fall/Winter items, I’ve spotted a few things that will carry over into next Spring (and beyond).
You’ll have to jump on this one fast, as it’s a one-day promotion only. The Everlane Day Boot is marked down from $225 to $175. These boots are easy to wear and I can attest to their comfort. This promotion ends at 9pm PT tonight. Limit one pair per customer at the reduced price. These are three-season boots in our climate, and I have them in 3 colors: Brick, Bone, and Bronze (no longer available, similar in Iron).
Even in warmer months, I never travel without a lightweight cashmere shawl. Wear this one as a scarf or wrap. Save 20% today on cashmere gifts and accessories with code ACC20.
Wear this cute floral top under a jacket now for holiday parties, and on its own once the weather warms up again. All tops and sweaters 40% off with code GOODCHEER.
Ruffled hems and multi-colored stripes make this not-just-another-striped-tee. A sure cure for the late winter blahs. Also 40% off.
And if you prefer your stripes on the classic side, here’s a turtleneck tee that should be light enough (it’s a cotton blend) to wear well into spring. Remember to use code GOODCHEER for 40% off. (And the same code will get you 25% off those cute leopard mules!)
Net-a-Porter also has a huge swath of inventory marked down. I’ve had my eye on this glossy trench raincoat for some months, and 40% off was enough incentive to add to my cart. I’m hoping it will be lightweight enough for a Spring travel raincoat. 🤞It’s offered in other colors, and a matte finish too.

That coat is gorgeous!
still getting the adblocck warning :/
thanks for the fun reading!
Hi Cindy, when you say “adblock warning,” can you tell me exactly what the error message says?
I don’t believe I’ve posted many replies about specific brands. But here goes. Susan will remember this shop from San Francisco although it has moved. The Reset offers high quality really pretty clothes and while it is a bit short on color variety, it show the loviest capsule clothing.
I have ordered online and have been more than pleased. Sometimes the sizing is off a bit.
I happened to be in San Francisco on Friday. I knew The Rest had moved to a terrific location on Fillmore St. which is now the home to some fun boutiques and out of the whole problematic Union Sq. area (hope it gets cleaned up).
I tried on a number of items I had been eyeing and especially the chestnut color (new) vegan leather moto jacket. It’s amazing. It does have zippers at the cuffs but it fit so perfectly that it wasn’t an issue. I also went home with a warm camel tie waist cashmere cardigan.
Susan, I’m sure they would remember you!
Jan
Thanks, Jan! I’ve actually been eyeing that moto jacket to try, but like you have found their sizing a bit tough to gauge. How does it run?
It’s a nice one! I bought a Large. My bust is 39” on the dot. So in this case I’d say it runs true. I find their line can run a bit large and I’ve had my share of returns. The arms are not overly skinny so I can wear a light shirt or tank under it. BTW, the satin short sleeve vee neck tops are luscious and are on sale now. I bought 3 colors.
I’ve been able to open the link to your blog without being blocked but many of the product links are blocked (today it’s the links to the cashmere scarf). This happens when using my laptop for work even though the email address is a personal address. This has happened for a long time and for some reason your blog is the only one I have this issue with.
Hi Laura, thanks for letting me know!
Could be your IT at your work has network security that blocks certain sites regardless of what email address you use. This happens to me and is rather random. My son is a wiz at figuring this out and says that sometimes certain words or phrasing can trigger a security block no matter how innocent the web site appears. Even if you are working from home if you need to go through BitLocker or some sort of security password to open your computer Big Brother is watching you. Might not have anything to do with Susan’s blog. Try using your own phone on a LTE network or home wifi ( ie not your work wifi) to access the site.
Bottom line, best practice is NOT to use a work device for personal use. Even if your employer allows you to use for personal stuff they obviously would not want users to frequent certain sites so may have blocked.
I enjoy your blog, and have for years. I now have to “agree to accept cookies” each and every time I want to read a new post. Just an FYI, it is a little annoying. Happy holidays and happy new year
Hi Tamara, I’m sorry about that but it’s something that’s now required per EU regulations. I’ll see if there’s a way to be able to have it “remember” that you’ve previously accepted.
Susan, I just ordered those leopard mules from Madewell, now I’m having anxiety size wise. Are they true to size? I wear between a 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 so tricky. I ordered the 7.
Hi Cynthia, I’m not sure as my local store didn’t have them. I’ve ordered two sizes to try, will report back.
