Scofflaw

I’m breaking one of my own rules here, and wearing two different animal prints at the same time. (I know, living on the edge!) There’s a leopard at my feet, and a tiger round my neck.

You may have noticed that I’ve been tweaking the blog template again. The previous design was just feeling too busy to me, so I’ve gone minimalist. Let me know if anything’s difficult to navigate or read.

I’ll be back tomorrow soon with more brooches. Beginning next week I’ll be posting Monday-Wednesday-Friday, and perhaps something random on the weekend if inspiration strikes.

Tee: Eileen Fisher, no longer available in this color, but here are some others.
Tunic Sweater: Eileen Fisher, not available online, similar here. (The one I’m wearing is a lighter weight wool mesh, you might be able to find in stores.)
Pants: NYDJ Sheri Twill, here. I’ve gone all in for the colored pants.
Shoes: Fitzwell, here. (These are SO comfy!!)
Scarf: Hermés, no longer available, other styles in this size here.

  1. I think you have found you best look here. The silhouette is perfect for your shape, face and hair cut. Better even than the dresses. It’s not to cluttered nor to minimal. The colours also create a nice balance.
How does it make you feel?

  2. This looks great on you–the entire ensemble. I have an Eileen Fisher tunic of a similar shape from last year (gray with a drapey neck) and I loved wearing it. Can’t wait for it to be cool enough to wear it again.

I am so tempted to splurge on an Hermes scarf (thanks to you and Duchesse).

  3. You wild thing, you! In reality, I suspect you’re the type who confesses to the crime before you’ve even been accused . . . especially since that tiger is hiding so discreetly in the folds of your scarf. Bolder, and very effective, is that play between the red pants and the leopard shoes (a fav. combo of mine as well, although I have no tiger to bring into my mix)

And I like the clean looking blog face.

  4. What a great scarf! The two completely go together! I may use your inspiration for a work outfit one day! I like the changes you have made to your blog!!

  5. I don’t mind the tiger round the neck and the leopard on the feet! And I find the more spare look a little easier on the (weary) eyes, as much as I enjoyed the other background!

I’ve been trying to change my theme for months (yet again)… but never seem to have the time (and it’s not in the budget to pay someone else… especially if I think of the expense in terms of possible shoes!)

    🙂

  6. I’ve just made my first foray (in recent years, that is) into the colored jeans trend. I got it into my head that I needed a pair of mustardy yellow jeans, and then commenced the hunt. For a while, couldn’t find any, but suddenly they were everywhere. Happy news, I found the pair I liked best at Kohl’s for a mere $25! I haven’t worn them yet but have been trying out various combinations, and finding they go with black, brown, charcoal, and navy. I might go wild and try them with aubergine as well. Might need to branch out to another color, next!

  7. I like this layout better. I liked the look before but was having issues when it downloaded. Not sure why. This is just easier for me to look at. I hope that wasnt critical.

    1. I like very much your blog new layout. Pure and easier to read!
Other than that I really love the duet scarf / shoes. The colors match very well and it makes an harmonious pair!
      All the best,
      Anne

  8. I like the way you tied that scarf. I mixed leopard wedges with a lion brooch on Monday and felt very cougar-ish 🙂

  9. I applaude for the decluttering – perhaps just a bit more yet?
The Omhu- canes, can/ is it possible for you to find some other place for them??

  10. Your blog refresh is both modern and easy to read. I especially like the white back ground and all ads and suggested links aligned to right. I try to avoid looking at the cane ad though…not quite ready to check that out 🙂

  11. I love your leopard print shoes! Your tiger scarf is actually quite subtle – i like how you’ve let his face peek out. A very elegant way of wearing animal on animal!
