Sunday Music Corner

Saw this for the first time this week, and it cracked me up! Ricky Gervais can actually sing too.

  1. So many favorite things in one place! Sesame Street! Ricky Gervais! Elmo! Oh I do want Ricky Gervais to come and live in my house. As for the singing, I believe he was in a boy band as a kid. Don’t you love the British impunity towards his bad teeth? And the way he sounds like Simon Cowell on American Idol? And his humor! Haver you ever seen Ghost Town? Oy.

  2. If Elmo was a teen he’d love the N song as sung by Ricky…thank you for this trip back in time. My kids watched Sesame Street on PBS when they were young and I watched too…one Christmas a tickle me Elmo appeared…those were the days….

  3. What a hoot, and a big laugh with my coffee this morning! Gervais deserved better writers this year on the Golden Globes. At least that’s what I’m hoping happened. How could such a brilliantly funny man be so . . . meh? Thanks for a delightful Sunday Music Corner!

  4. Bliss, indeed! I laughed right out loud at the first “chorus.”

I like the English version of The Office better, too.

  5. Love your blog and check in regularly. I noticed that your you tube insert is too wide. II am taking the liberty here of outlining how I dealt with the same issue on my blog,http://lagemoyen.blogspot.com In the edit post section go into your original post and you’ll see width and height measurements i.e. width 500, height 540. Just edit these numbers down: For example, I edited mine down to width 300 and height 340 and it took the video down proportionately. You just need to make the change twice in the little html paragraph. Your blog is so lovely I didn’t want the video inserts to take away from the overall loveliness!

  6. How hilarious! I love how Ricky Gervais didn’t change his persona at all for the Sesame Street crew.
