Sunday Music Corner

I know I’ve shared this one before, but it’s always worth another view/listen. And if you haven’t seen the movie “Diva,” from which this clip is taken, add it to your Netflix queue or get your hands on a DVD copy.  It’s worth the trouble to hunt down. It remains one of my top 5 favorite movies.

  1. Oh, I remember this movie. I’ve seen it a long long time ago as a young girl and some of the images got stuck in my memory permanenly. I remeber how the leading actress was very graceful and elegant and I liked the screen chemistry between her and the young enamoured fan.
Also when she sang I remember the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Awesome!

  2. I do love this scene–that gorgeous aria, that platinum gown, that young man’s tender, beautiful face… I rented the film a year or so ago, to watch with my 20-something daughter. She loved it, too, and I was struck by how current it still seemed–fresh, almost cutting edge. Clearly it was years ahead of its time.
