One of the questions that most often comes up when I post travel wardrobes is how to include favorite beauty products and still pack light. Whether you are a frequent traveler, or have one on your gift list, this is a fantastic time of year to find travel-sized versions of skin care, brushes, makeup and fragrance favorites. Nordstrom has a fantastic collection of beauty and fragrance gift sets. As always they offer free shipping and returns, and if you have questions about any product, their customer service folks are always ready to help. Many products can be purchased online and picked up at your nearest Nordstrom location too if you’re in a hurry.

One of my favorite gift sets offered for the holidays are travel makeup brushes. Often shorter-handled (making them easier to manage while close in to that magnifying mirror) these brush sets can be VERY good values.
Fragrance gift sets will often include travel-friendly sizes of eau de parfum or eau de toilette, and hand/body lotion. I always look for my preferred fragrances in containers with rollerball dispensers, which are easily portable and packable, even for carry-on. (But in a pinch you can also grab a few of these travel atomizers, and fill with your favorite fragrance. Great stocking stuffers too!)

I have those travel parfume atomizer thingys they work great.
Do the Nordstrom atomizers require a perfume bottle with a screw-off top? Most of my perfume these days doesn’t have a removable top. Container Store has a travel atomizer that can be filled from the sprayer of a perfume bottle, very handy.
I know many francophiles congregate at “Une Femme…”, so just want to say our prayers are with Paris as they endure these ghastly attacks. Courage, friends– we love you.
