J.Crew sequin tee, $69.50 |
If you have some holiday parties to attend, and not a lot in the budget for party clothes, this tee might be all you need to turn some of your basics into a party-ready ensemble. I’d pair with a black pencil or maxi skirt, or navy or black trousers for dressier events, and with nice jeans for a more laid-back fête. For those of you who are wary of J.Crew’s narrow cuts, this one is cut generously through the body. Also available in Black and Bronze.

I just ordered one, only black is left in my size. If you want one I suggest do not delay!
Looks great…
sequins seem to be in and on the air today.
I posted with a short sleeved version of this top and I have linked up with a couple of other bloggers who are wearing their sequined outfits.
I was eyeballing this top recently on my search for sequins – but decided against it because I really need to try it on first and didn’t want to deal with all the shipping hassle.
I do love a navy blue sequin this season. So pretty.
So cute! I got a sequined tank to wear with cashmere cardis, but this t-shirt is too cute to pass up.
Sequin tees have been in the air the past few Christmases and always make me smile. Besides J. Crew’s version I am also seeing them in places like Club Monaco and Zara. This is such a good colour, too.
I bought his shirt last year for holiday parties in dark grey – people told me the sequins lit up my face.
Just lovely – it’s sequins all the way on the Blogs at the moment – Hostess posted about sequins too. Are you going for the bronze or the black? X
I think it is gorgeous and it’s got sleeves!
Cute shirt! I am so excited that sequins are in and that women of a certian age can have fun with them!
That would perk up my usual jeans and top outfit!
Talbots has a nice selection as well. They have some long skirts for the holidays. One was to the floor, somewhat flared with a sheer voile overlay of horizontal ruffles from the waist to the hem. It was black, feminine but not too fussy.
Oh, I NEED the khaki/bronze one. WHEN will J Crew ship to the Antipodes …
This looks so freakin’ awesome! Sequins are the way to go!
Who can resist a sparkly top? I like that you mentioned pairing it with a maxi. Do you ever wear maxi skirts? I can’t recall you wearing one and wondered if you like the look for yourself. I’ve been thinking of trying it.
What an affordable way to ” get in a party mood “!
I appreciate the long sleeves, great at this time of the year. Wearing this top, with the sequins, I´d go easy with the rest of the jewelry; the top being a piece of jewelry in itself!
Nice suggestion! And, I note, on sale today for 69.50. Thanks!

A beautiful display of holiday sparkle!
A great not-so-basic and reasonably priced!
