Une femme still recommends…

Tish at A Femme d’un Certain Age names this as one of her 10 Beauty Essentials, and having first tried it last year upon her recommendation (as we dashed through Monoprix, filling up my basket with goodies!) I now consider it one of my essentials too!

For those of us in the US, it’s not available yet on store shelves, but you can order from French Cosmetics For Less, here. (Update: Seems to be currently unavailable.)

Also on amazon.com…(thanks, Nancy!)

I am trying not to freak out about my “crows feet.” but the wrinkles on my hands are freaking me out! So….your essentials is now on my list.

It has disappeared from French Cosmetics for Less, but it’s available through Amazon.

I got it based on Tish’s recommendation, and though lovely texture and absorption, not a must for me. My normal, good skin does not look any better or worse than when I use other mid-priced products (Roc, Avene, Embryolisse). Maybe it is a better product for sensitive skin.

Can’t wait to compare our skin in April — over a glass of wine on a terrace, of course.

I ordered this months ago after reading a post you wrote about it. I think it’s great stuff and regularly order mine from French Cosmetics for Less. I am hoping they sell it in Switzerland and/or Italy so I can pick some up when I go in a couple of months. I am quite committed to it – it’s the best I’ve tried and am not interested in using any other product.

I find that foundation doesn’t work very well over this. It’s fine otherwise.

There is a product that I think is very similar to the Eucerin called Dermae hyaluronic acid day (or night) cream. It is less expensive, $29.50 for 2 oz for the dermae vs. $51.75 for a tad over 1.5 oz for the Eucerin. It’s available online at http://www.dermae.com or can be purchased through http://www.drugstore.com or is sold at Whole Foods. I have used it it for a while and have enjoyed it. I can’t make a comparison to the Eucerin product because I’ve never used it but the dermae contains the same active ingredient.

I have recently fallen back in love with Eucerin after having a bad time with the mineral oil in Nivea. I buy my Bioderma Crealine Micellar H20 from French Cosmetics, and their customer service is excellent. Orders can take a while because I think they order directly from France only a couple times a month, but fresh product is worth the wait, and I am adding this to my next order. My skin has become hyper sensitive. Thanks!

I’m going to check this out when I am in France this summer (fingers crossed). I love going into pharmacies.

I’ve been using both the day and night version, ordered from Amazon, and think it’s very good. I use a lot of products, in layers, so I don’t know which is working the best, but whatever, I’m very happy with it.
Something magical for the hands would be really great though….

If it’s good enough for you and Tish and then definitely good enough for me ! And you know how I LOVE your recommendations. Still LOVING sick (as FF would say) the Boomstick thing by Cindy Joseph btw. X

I bought the day and night versions last September in Paris. Not holy grail material for me, alas, but nice enough.

Two tips: I bought them at Pharmacie Fouhety, 26 rue de Four in the 6th. Almost half-price. Everything discount. Crowded, but fun. (The women who work there will help you navigate.)

A similar (I think) product is CeraVe (day and night versions). Available in US drugstores. Well reviewed, much less expensive, and very nice.

I’m still using Hope in A Jar but maybe I’ll try Eucerin one of these days.
