Une semaine bien remplie

Last night we finally made it to see Spamalot. Very funny, but (spoiler alert), Matthew Greer (third from top) chews some major scenery and totally steals Act 1 as the French Taunter. He also managed to work in a Brett Farve joke in the second act. Comedy Gold!

Tonight I will have the privilege and pleasure to chew some scenery (and perhaps an antipasto plate) with the fabulous WendyB and a merry band of LA bloggers. If we break into song, RUN for your lives!!!

  1. Belly laughs — there are too few opportunities in life to indulge, but they are so therapeutic.
Glad you enjoyed Spamalot and wishing you much more fun and laughter tonight — lucky you!

  2. I believe that any “French taunter” MUST chew scenery and steal the scene! It cannot be any other way!

  3. “une semaine bien remplie” remplie is a qualifying adjective here therefore takes an ‘e’ (semaine being a fem. noun)

  4. We band of sisters, we happy few…San Diego looks pale with envy on LA’s placid shore. Well, you know what I mean. Have a great time with all the blogistas!

  5. Nancy – I’d been quite skeptical about whether I’d enjoy, as a) I’m not into musicals and b) mixed results usually ensue when a popular movie is turned into a stage production, but this one really did deliver!

materfamilias – remember when we were little and would crack up and not be able to stop laughing? I miss that.

    Anon @857a – bien sur!

  6. Sher – we did have a great time and lots of giggles. What a great group of people Wendy draws to her!

WendyB – I can totally see you as Lady of the Lake.

Sal – we had a great time, thanks!

  7. Tessa-Scoffs – we’ve talked about having more LA Blogger get-togethers. Would you ever consider travelling north to join us?

Anonymous – zut alors! Merci pour la correction! (I was half asleep when I posted yesterday.)

  8. I loved Spamalot in New York last year! Luckily all the Naughty jokes went right over my daughter and her little friend’s head!
