OLIVELA donates 20% of the proceeds from every purchase to charitable organizations, such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Your pup will be the chicest canine at the aprés-ski scene in this adorable sweater. (Yes, I may have purchased this one for Gigi…😉 🐕 )

Who’s the most challenging person on your gift list to shop for?

And it’s Giving Tuesday

If you’re looking to donate where it will do the most good in your community, I’ll again suggest a monetary gift to your local or regional food bank. If you live in the US, find your local food bank HERE. (Ours is the LA Regional Food Bank.)

Here are more of the charitable and non-profit organizations we’ve supported this year:

Medicins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders)

The Help Group (providing educational and enrichment support for individuals with autism and learning disabilities)

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

ASPCA

Habitat for Humanity

Pro-Publica (independent organization for investigative journalism)

Mazon

  1. Good ideas! I just bought some merch from Amnesty International, which will be a big hit with my kid (all organic, fair trade). Off to Médecins Sans Frontières now…thank you!

  2. Thank you, Susan, for listing all these very worthy organizations. I made my donations today to food banks and Mazon, among others. Too bad the sneaker cleaner set is sold out. I have a sneaker-wearing husband who would have enjoyed this. Will keep my eye out to see if they restock.

  3. Thank you for suggesting local food banks. If I may, I also suggest your local Food Pantry. I am the Manager for our County’s Food Pantry. We partner with our regional Food Bank, so would benefit either way, but direct support allows us to purchase items the Food Bank may not have in stock. We have seen many first time guests since the Pandemic began, and more so now closer to the holidays.
