J.Crew leopard print women's pajamas. Details at une femme d'un certain age.

I’m in the mood to look at some fun pajamas, how about you? Now that cooler weather is finally here, I’m back in my longer pajamas, and have been looking for another set to add to the rotation.

Above: I have these leopard print pajamas on order. I love the coral piping accent! They’re offered in sizes XX-Small to 2X, though some sizes are already sold out.

I love BedHead pajamas. They are super soft and last for years. This style with an Eiffel Tower print is available in both Misses and Plus sizes.

I’ve found that simple, classic pajamas can be hard to find in colors other than pink or blue. This set ( Top | Bottom ) comes in 3 colors, including this sophisticated dark green. Sizes XX-Small to XX-Large.

Sweet Dreams!

  1. I struggle with finding pajamas that are the right length for a petite person. I don’t want to have them shortened and hate when I’m stepping on them. What do you do Susan?

    1. Rose, I just noticed Soma is carrying some pj pants in “ankle length” which has a 27” inseam. I hope this helps.

    2. Check out Victoria Secret’s flannel pajama sets…seriously. They come in 3 lengths – I’m 5’0 and the short fits me perfectly. The 2 sets I have must be a decade old and show little wear; obviously can’t speak to current quality but a quick check of their website show some cute flannel prints.

    3. Bedhead’s cropped pajama pant set might work for you. The sleeves are shorter as well, a bit longer than three-quarter length. LL Bean makes petite length pajama pants, so does J.Jill. Cosabella. Lands’ End. Someone already mentioned Soma. Eddie Bauer’s flannel sleep pant comes in a petite length.

  2. Toile pajamas. Come to Mama, I love those. I had a pair of Soma that never wore out. I still have the top. Eventually the waist on the bottoms stretched out. Great value for the money and these are just beautiful,

  3. Some lovely selections! I wear sleep tees/sporty nightgowns most of the time, so would love to see some of those.

And yes! I’m always happy to see anything other than pastels, which are deeply unflattering to my coloring.

  4. Eileen West makes really nice nightgowns in different lengths made from cotton and cotton flannel. There’s a great selection in The Vermont Country Store which has an actual catalog that they mail, or you can see their store online.

  5. It’s very hard to find 100% cotton pjs with no buttons (big bust). Any help would be appreciated.
I just got a pair from Vermont Country Store. Size small was comically large. I washed it in hot water and put them in the dryer so now they fit. But they’re pastel. 🙁

  6. I have the Eiffel Tower pajamas in pink. I love Bedhead pajamas, too, but find they run rather small. I’m a size 16-ish and am comfortable in their 3X cotton knit. I can’t get the woven fabric pant over my hips. The 32 inch inseam is perfect for me at 5’6″, whereas most pajamas in plus sizes are two to three inches short. The knit fabric is thick, soft, warm, and easy to care for. Wash on warm, dry on medium. Perfect.

  7. Wow, wow Susan!
I LOVE the styles and fabrics you’ve selected.
    You truly have impeccable taste.
You’re making winter a lot more fun.

  8. I can’t stand wearing clothing to bed — I hate being all tangled up in fabric, my husband radiates heat like a furnace on one side of me as does the cat on the other & my body temperature tends to run hot anyway so wearing anything in bed leaves me melting. But I do like wearing PJs after my evening shower when we’re relaxing with coffee, reading or watching TV or whatever. As winter progresses the PJs get heavier, the housecoat thicker, the slippers warmer 🙂 The ones you’ve shown are gorgeous — especially those leopard ones! I bought 2 new pair last year that I’ve barely worn so don’t know if I can convince myself I need another set, especially considering duties & the exchange rate [sigh]. But then, it IS almost Christmas.
