Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm, Extreme Recovery Cream, Triple Defense Sunscreen SPF 40

I’ll admit, as with most things, I’m a little bit lazy when it comes to skincare. Or efficient, as I prefer to think of it. 😂 I’m diligent, but don’t want to have to do more steps or use more products than I need to. That’s why I look for (and stick with) products that are effective and pleasant to use.

Radiant Cleansing Balm | Extreme Recovery Cream | Triple Defense Sunscreen

The Colleen Rothschild products shown above were gifted for this post, but are all products I’ve previously purchased for myself and use daily. For a limited time, save 20% sitewide with code LABORDAY.

I never go to bed without cleansing my face. The Radiant Cleansing Balm removes makeup and cleanses without drying my skin. It has a fragrance that I love and find soothing. Extreme Recovery Cream provides deep moisture without being greasy or sticky.

Colleen Rothschild Mandelic Acid Radiance serum.

In between cleansing and moisturizing, I alternate evenings between my prescription Retin-A and this Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum. It’s an Alpha Hydroxy Acid that gently loosens dead skin cells and inhibits dark spots. (This is another product I’ve re-purchased.)

Sunscreen, ALWAYS

Sunscreen, ALWAYS! Susan with tube of Colleen Rothschild Triple Defense Sunscreen SPF 40.

Skin cancer runs in my family, so I’ve been getting checked regularly by dermatologists since my early 30’s. At my very first appointment, I asked the doc, “what skincare products do you recommend?” He barked, “Sunscreen!” I’ve been using it religiously ever since (and avoid prolonged sun exposure).

My current dermatologist prefers mineral sunscreens. It’s not always easy finding one that has both a higher SPF and doesn’t leave a whitish cast. When Colleen Rothschild introduced this reef-safe, SPF 40 Triple Defense Sunscreen, I ordered right away and it’s become my daily go-to sunscreen. It doesn’t look “ghostly” or pill, and works well under makeup. (Allow a few minutes before makeup application.)

Colleen Rothschild products are cruelty-free and made in the U.S.A. Don’t forget to use code LABORDAY for 20% off sitewide! Aren’t sure what to try? The Discovery Collection contains sample/travel sizes of 7 of her best selling products.

A quick travel update…

Unless anything changes drastically in the next few weeks, our trip to Italy, Paris and London in October is back ON! As we are fully vaccinated, we will be able to travel in the EU/UK with proof of vaccination and a negative Covid test. (Most of the new restrictions applied to un-vaccinated people.) I’m already planning my travel wardrobe… 🧳

  1. Headed to UK myself in October. Have all the tests ordered–3 days prior to departure, by Day 2 arrival in UK and 3 days prior to return. Will have another one a few days after I return home. Taking as many precautions as possible (e.g. travel/medical insurance, stock of KN95 masks, accommodations with my own kitchen, even the long haul train rides have separated seating), but have important events to go to in London and up in Scotland, so living my life. Best we can do. Know it is a privilege to travel and not taking it for granted. Best of luck with your plans.

  2. These are my work horse skin care products! I have used them for years and still love them. I haven’t tried the sunscreen yet, but it’s on my list. Love the shampoo and deep conditioner too.

  3. Just a tip for folks: If you find an AHA too irritating, try a BHA. My dermatologist recommended this and I definitely still see benefits with less irritation.

    1. Hi Vida, I don’t usually wear much eye makeup, but if I do I swipe with a bit of micellar water first, then remove the rest when I use the cleansing balm & cloth.

  4. I no longer use Colleen Rothschild products. I find them really overpriced for the overall quality. In my opinion, her products are not that great and certainly not worth the high prices, even at a discount. And the packaging is truly awful, often making it impossible or difficult to use the products or the packaging creates waste. Her packaging is also bad for the environment. I much prefer Elemis and BeautyCounter products.
