Current Sales from Reader-Favorite Brands: Madewell, J.Crew & Talbots
I love a good sale, especially when it includes new and current-season pieces! Several of our favorite brands have just launched “% off everything” promotions, making this a great time to check your wish list and scoop up those fall styles while sizes and colors are still in good supply. Here are some of my top picks from this week’s sales.
Madewell Fall Sale Finds
You can save up to 30% at Madewell with code TREATYOURSELF. I find this brand doesn’t discount as often as many others, so it’s always worth a look when they do. (*prices shown after discount.)
👉 You can click on any text in red to shop items shown.

Perfect Vintage Wide Jean – $96.60*
I’m all about dark wash jeans this season! These “Perfect Vintage” jeans have a relaxed, but not too oversized fit.
(The darted barrel-leg jeans are also included in the sale, including this new “SoftDrape” style in a dark wash.)
Scalloped Sweater Tee – $89.60*
While Madewell often leans heavily into (warm) earth tones, I did find several pieces for those of you with cooler palettes.
This sweater tee is festive enough for casual holiday gatherings…love this Dark Pomegranate color for you Winters!

Classic Penny Loafer – $124.60*
These classic loafers are well-reviewed (including for wide feet) and have timeless appeal!
(I love pairing jeans and loafers; you can see my favorite ways to wear this combo HERE.)
Waxed zip-front jacket – $152.60*
Perfect for fall days and milder climates, a waxed cotton jacket that’s practical and perennial.

Cashmere v-neck sweater – $124.60*
This relaxed v-neck is available in several colors, but I wanted you Winters to see this pretty Fuchsia…
J.Crew Fall Style Deals
Save 30% on a wide selection of fall styles, and 20% off cashmere with code SHOPFALL. (*price after discount.)
Classic fit cashmere crewneck – $118.40*
J.Crew often excludes their cashmere from promotions, so don’t miss this opportunity to save 20%!
This spruce green is lovely for Winters and Blue Autumns, and there are over a dozen other colors available!
Runs true-to-size.

Ruffle collar shirt in crepe de chine – $110.60*
I think that ruffled collar will look smashing peeking out from underneath a sweater or jacket. Perfect for holiday looks or casual outfits.
(This one’s in my cart!)
Cropped lady blazer – $180.60*
I nabbed this blazer in ivory during an earlier promotion, and love it! (I’ll be styling & sharing here soon…)
This piece is travel-friendly, too! Runs a little large; I went down a size.

Suede knee boots – $174.65
These would look great with skirts, dresses, slim pants and leggings. The low block heel adds stability & comfort.
Cashmere cardigan – $142.40*
This cashmere cardigan is available in a bunch of yummy colors. Runs large…you’ll probably want to size down.

Talbots Top Sale Finds
Get 25-40% off select fall styles, and an extra 50% off all markdowns at Talbots. (*prices after discount. No code needed.)

Double-faced wool jacket – $224.25*
A lighter weight jacket that layers. Available in Misses, Petites, Plus, and Plus Petite sizes.
Textured zip-front cardigan – $83.40*
This collared cardigan is a cotton-blend fabric, in Misses, Petite, Plus, and Plus Petite sizes.
This Eggplant color is a good one for you Winters! Springs & Summers check out the Soft Jade Heather color.
(For styling ideas, see How to Add Texture to Fall Outfits.)

Rhinestone detail pointed-toe loafers – $95.40*
Add a little sparkle to your outfits this holiday season! These cute loafers are 40% off.
(I’m also loving these leopard print flats!)
“Officer” wool-blend jacket – $164.25*
Perfect for festive gatherings or a night out, this wool-blend jacket is offered in Misses, Petite, Plus, and Plus Petite sizes. (I have this one on order, but on my monitor the color looks like a neutral red.)

If you’ve been eyeing any of these styles, it’s a great time to take advantage of the savings while sizes and colors are still available. I’ll keep an eye out for more seasonal promotions and update if anything new pops up!

Hi Susan…..since a good travel wardrobe starts with the footwear…..is there a brand /style of boots that you prefer for winter European travel? If I remember you wore Aquatalia in the past. Paul Green. used to work for me but heels are higher and toes are pointed which are both painful. I try to stay around a 1-1/2 heel. I am fine with a sneaker for daytime touring but need something for dinner to possibly wear with a sweater dress or pants and jacket.
Packing for London.
Kind regards,
Julie
Hi Julie, you might want to look at Aquatalia’s “Ulyssa” style: https://go.shopmy.us/p-29255293 It’s a sleek and comfortable bootie that’s waterproof and walkable.
I’ve been very happy with my Sofft brand boots. Wore them last December in Germany & was very pleased; water resistant and comfortable (and cute!) They are also, I believe, a much lower price point compared to Aquatalia.
Susan, do you think the J Crew cashmere in burnished chartreuse would work for springs?
Thank you!!
That color is more of an acid yellow. May be a bit too “acid” for most Springs.
Hi. Where’s do I find the brown suede bag in your first photo? Thank you
Hi Mary Kay, here’s a link to the bag: https://go.shopmy.us/p-29106873
A big thanks for continuing to note colors, color season AND answer questions about certain items. SO helpful, Susan. ❤️
