Speaking of gems, some French-themed bijoux. The necklace features a vintage French medallion and unique natural stones. These silver fleur-de-lis earrings have an African opal dangle. And the melange stone bracelet features a charming silver bee, for centuries a symbol of French nobility.

Lightweight and durable, this pouch features the iconic Longchamp racehorse, and can help keep cosmetics or other small items organized. (Several colors available.)

Bnunwish French Press coffee maker. Details at une femme d'un certain age.

I’m cheating a little here, as this French press coffee maker isn’t actually from a French brand. But it’s the one I like the best, and always recommend. The double-walled glass construction keeps your coffee warmer longer.

French market basket with both long and short handles. Details at une femme d'un certain age.

I love the dual-length handles on this French market basket, so it can be carried in hand or over the shoulder. Use it for market day, or to stylishly store items at home.

  1. Loved The Judgement of Paris! Lots of interesting art history. And will check out the hand creams at Anthropologie to add to holiday gifts. Thanks!

  2. I like those bee tumblers. I am thinking about the 6 oz. size. Before the days of the 16 oz glass that was a serving .

  3. Good morning Susan I just wanted to tell you that I love your blog and look forward to receiving it in my inbox every morning! With that being said, I wanted to tell you that inspired by you I just finished watching Emily in Paris on Netflix. I found it entertaining and the scenery was just amazing. I especially loved Sylvie and her gorgeous wardrobe and her very frenchness

  4. I own a copy of Paris in Stride and recommend it especially for armchair travelers. The illustrations are delightful.

  5. I bought a market basket from ourfrenchlifestyle.com. Very well made and supports a small business…wonderful woman behind this and great customer service. My crazy post delivery person managed to squish the basket….since baskets are made with reeds that are wet I just ran in under hot water in the shower and pushed out the bumps and it is perfect now. When we can travel again she has a cottage you can stay in
I have always loved the Bee glassware 🙂
