Une femme recommends…

After this product was recommended by probably half a dozen people, including two facialists (in response to my complaints about the large pores and rough skin texture on my nose), I decided to cash in a gift card and give it a try.  I was pretty skeptical; the “sonic cleansing” claims sounded vraiment gimmicky to me.  I’ve been using morning and night with my regular cleanser, and in just a week’s time have seen noticeable improvement in the texture of my skin.  On my nose especially, the pores appear smaller, and the skin is smoother, less pebbled.  Makeup no longer settles into my pores, which had been a problem even with a good primer.  I’ve tried various exfoliants and glycolic products over the last few months, but the Clarisonic has really yielded more immediate and visible results.

The machine needs to be charged only every few days (so doesn’t need to take up precious bathroom counter space) and is waterproof so can be used in the shower.  I wouldn’t have believed something that seems like the equivalent of an electric toothbrush for the face would actually make a difference, but it does!

  1. Pseu, I’m another Clarisonic Convert. I’ve got rosacea, and couldn’t believe it would make things better. But it’s like I’ve got new skin! Less redness, fewer P&Ps, smaller pores… astonishing.

My model is the “Mia,” which doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but is smaller and very easy to travel with. (In fact, I had a hard time getting Don Pantalones to let me bring it back from Madrid after my last visit. Vain boy…)

  2. These are fabulous. I liked it so much I bought one for my sister in law. They are truly worth the cost.

  3. I almost bought one at Christmas, but I hesitated. Now I regret not snapping it up! (It was on sale, and I have yet to see it again at such a good price.) It’s going back on my wish list!

  4. I know! It rattles all the crap out of your pores. I bought one in September, and I’m still amazed at how much brighter my complexion looks, softer and cleaner my skin feels, and better my treatments seem to penetrate. I couldn’t live without it.

  5. I’ve been performing microdermabrasion for years (8+) with just my fingers and a good cream (Rxskincare) and my skin really looks good. Very few breakouts, good texture, smooth, minimal pores. This really makes all the difference.

  7. Oh dear, I thought I had quelled my interest in this, but now it’s back! I have the same skin issues.

  8. OK then, I’m on it. Marsi has raved about and I read something about it someplace.

The fact you put noticeable in boldface — because you know how much I trust you — has me yearning.

Next step try to find it here or get the Little One to send it over.

    Merci.

  9. I believe that beautiful skin is the result of not what you put “on” your skin, but what you put “in” your skin. I drink a glass of peppermint tea, or apple juice or water with 2 heaping tablespoons of nutrional yeast every morning. I don’t sip it – I gulp it down. That one habit has given me soft, almost poreless skin, with almost no lines, and I’m 64 years old. I raised my daughter on it – giving it to her each morning in a glass of Welch’s unsweetened grape juice (she could afford the calories). She’d always make a face – and pout – but today at 25 she has a deep respect for clean, unprocessed food, and beautiful skin. You will see the results almost immediately – in your digestion, hair, etc. The skin on your body becomes silky, with no lotion required.

  10. Marsi – “rattles the crap out of your pores” LOL!

LPC – I can’t promise how this will work for someone else, but I’ve sure been impressed with my own results.

Make Do Style – Have you been thinking about trying?

  11. Hostess of the Humble Bungalow – I don’t know about Canada, but here many of the stores that stock the Clarisonic are offering a 30-day, money back guarantee.

metscan – Amazon is one of the places it’s sold (they had the lowest price I saw, so that’s why I posted their link).

Belle – but you have fabulous skin!

  12. Rubiatonta – I may have to get the Mia at some point for travel. Wow, it helped rosacea? That’s impressive.

kittykat – sounds like you’ve found a good routine that’s working for you.

Miss Janey – Well, it’s a Useful Thing, and doesn’t take up much space. Does that help?

  13. Robin – glad to hear you liked it too!

WendyB – you have fabulous skin too, but as long as you have one sitting around, give it a rip.

Tara Z. – I’ll bet these go on sale or promotion again at some point.

  14. Veuve – I’m quite happy with how mine has addressed the Pore Issue. Now I know it wasn’t my makeup that was the problem and have quit searching for something better.

Tish Jett – wonder if they’d have it at Monoprix? Or BHV – they seem to have *everything!*

  15. LBR – let us know what you think!

Anonymous @ 2:01pm – it sounds as though your routine is working well for you. I’d be hesistant to try the same, as my body doesn’t tolerate yeast well, if you know what I mean.

Faux Fuschia – I was pretty skeptical about this too, but after so many recommendations had to try. Everyone’s skin is different, but I’m really happy with the improvement I’ve seen.

  16. I just for mine in the mail on Monday. I am so excited. I can’t wait to see the difference.
