Use, Love, Repeat: The Things I Buy Again and Again
I’ve received a few questions recently about products I’ve recommended in past years or months. So I thought I’d circle back and re-share a small edit of favorites—the items I genuinely use, love, and repurchase when they wear out or run out. These aren’t impulse buys or trend-driven picks, but everyday essentials that have earned a permanent spot in my life.
To Wear
Let’s start with the pieces I reach for most often—clothing staples that work hard in my wardrobe, both at home and for travel.

Eileen Fisher Silk Jersey Tank – $54.50 – $128*
I wear one of these lightweight silk tanks as a base layer most days, and always pack 2-3 for travel. They can help insulate in cold weather and function as a camisole under light tops in milder temperatures.
These wear like iron and can be hand or machine washed (gentle cycle) and will line dry in a few hours.
(I wear XS.)

Everlane Box-Cut Cotton Tee – $38
These petite-friendly tees have been one of my staples since they were introduced a few years ago. They’re offered in a wide range of colors each season, with or without a front pocket.
I wear these tees mostly with casual outfits, and to work out. They’re a nice medium weight that layers easily under jackets or sweaters.
(I wear size Small.)

Hanky Panky Lace Boyshorts – $34
I’ve worn these almost exclusively for over a decade. They’re comfortable, stay in place, don’t cling to clothing or create VPL (Visible Panty Lines).
They’re not cheap, but last for years if washed on the gentle cycle (cold water) and line dried. Lots of fun colors to choose from!
(I wear a Medium.)

At Home
A few home essentials make my day-to-day life noticeably better—and these are the ones I never let run out.
Diptyque la Droguerie Candle – $78
In my small house, cooking odors can permeate every room and linger for days. This candle is the BEST at removing those cooking and other odors. The scent is fresh and herbaceous (basil & tomato leaf) not perfume-y.
One of these candles typically lasts me for months.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser – $5.44
These clean the white “sidewalls” of my sneakers, remove scuffs and smudges from walls & trim without damaging paint, and even ink marks from hard surfaces.
Woolzies Wool Dryer Balls – $19.99
Ditch the chemical fabric softener sheets! These wool dryer balls soften, reduce wrinkles and static cling, and help clothes dry faster and more evenly. They last a LONG time and are much more environmentally friendly!

Skincare & Beauty
When it comes to beauty and skincare, I’m loyal once something proves it works.

Salt & Stone Deodorant – $20
Here’s a deodorant that actually works for a full 24 hours! The Neroli & Basil is my favorite of the fragrances I’ve tried so far, but I also like the Black Rose & Oud. (The synthetic-free fragrances are very light and not noticeable soon after application.)
For travel sizes and to check out the different fragrances, try the Discovery Set!
By Brian Eye, Lip, & Neck Treatments – $188 (for the set)
I’ve been using these three skincare products for a few years now, and they really work to firm and smooth delicate skin on my eyes, lips, and neck. (Save 38% when you buy the set of all 3.)

ISDIN Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 – $46 – $73
Hands-down, this is the best non-tinted mineral sunscreen I’ve found! It’s lightweight, doesn’t pill or get cakey, dries clear and works great under makeup.
I use on my face and neck daily.

Re. cleaning the edges of my sneakers’ white soles, I find that Magic Erasers pads simply shred, and have had great success using Dawn Power Wash and a rough-textured terry-cloth rag; an old dark-colored facecloth works, or a stiff nail brush, or both. I put the Power Wash into one of those travel size spray containers because I can more easily control how much and where the spray goes.
So agree about the ISDN sunscreen: it is the best!
I need a new sunscreen thank you.
Hi Susan,
Several (7-8) years ago at your recommendation I purchased an Eileen Fisher washable silk s/s tee in black. I recall that it seemed expensive, but clearly it was well worth the money! Still wearing it, perfect neckline and so comfortable, washes fine on gentle cycle. I’d buy more if they still made them. I so enjoy your blog!
thanks for the recommendation. I am going to try the deodorant. Love your blog and especially your tried and true featured products.
Ditto on the Eileen Fisher silk knits. I bought long sleeve tees more than 10 years ago, they’re still in rotation! Thanks for the sunscreen tip, I see it in the drugstores in France, where I live, and have wondered about it.
Could you please re-share the info on the fabric shaver? I’m heading to the U.S. and would like to ordered one while I’m there.
Merci beaucoup!
So glad you introduced me to Diptyque’s Droguerie candle! Although I live in France, I was not aware of it, but now it’s a staple in my home (burning right now as lunch cooks!) and I’m a regular at our Diptyque boutique 😉
Merci beacoup
