Foulard de la semaine
Ah, mes petites, I have broken my spending moratorium again! (Well, the first time doesn’t count, as I returned the jacket.) I’d been eyeing this Banana Republic scarf online, but held off, not certain that the colors would work for me. But then I spotted one in the store today, and knew it was coming home with me.
What I didn’t realize, however, was that this is a LARGE scarf, large enough to wear as a shawl. Even better! It’s trop chaud to wear this week, but I couldn’t resist playing inside with the a/c on. (Pics taken with new camera!)

Beautiful. Really, really gorgeous. And I for one am not pointing fingers over broken No Buys…
Mmmm, nice! I think you’ll be wearing this one a lot!
Stylespy – thanks! This was one of those guilt-free transgressions, a great value and I know I’ll wear it LOTS.
sue – thanks!
nanflan – oh yeah! It’s going to be great for fall, and will be going to Paris with me.
LBR – can you believe it? I’ve picked up a couple of great scarves at BR recently. Whoda thunkit? (So nice to see your little weasel avatar in my comments again too!)
Très chic ma chère, et les couleurs vous vont à merveille.
Orane
Regal looking. Beautiful, vibrant colors. Cooler weather can’t get here soon enough.
Yum! Of course there is the Moratorium Amendment: If you would wear it in Paris, go ahead.
MIss Janey LOVE LOVE LOVES this. The colors are fabulous. This may be her favorite scarf Deja owns.
Very rich and dramatic. Great find!
You got that in the store? I have to go to BR. Really luxe looking. I would have never guessed that came from BR.
I love the richness of the colors and the size. Lovely.
This afternoon I took a break from my cave of an office and walked by the Brooks Brothers store on Rodeo. They had a lovely scarf in one of the window displays. Every now and then Brooks Brothers pulls off something great. Check it out if you’re in the neighborhood.
i wear my large scarf as a shawl, skirt, top, dress (only the largest of scarf). i saw the hermes models do it so i tried it.
If it’s a scarf AND a shawl then it’s technically half price, right? And by the way, you look fabulous!
Orane – merci bien!
Cindy – thanks, and I’m with you on the cooler weather!
duchesse – oui, c’est vrai, ça.
miss haney – why thank you.
savvy mode – yes, these larger scarves give you a lot of versatility.
belle – thanks, and I’ll check out the Brooksies. I’ve heard they also have a version of a scarf tying book.
daddylikey – yeah, that’s the ticket! I like how you help me rationalize. And thanks!
I need to proofread my comments better, make that “miss Janey”
